Our new Auckland Central (Owairaka) choir opens on this week: 2 May (7:15pm to 9:15pm (Tuesdays at Mt Albert Grammar)
this is our 6th All Together Now community choir - Auckland Central (Grey Lynn), Auckland Central (Owairaka) - Auckland East - Hobsonville - Tauranga - Taupo
NO AUDITIONS! - We believe that singing is a learned skill, that almost everyone can acquire with a little effort and some good teaching.
Lots of people have grown up believing that they can’t sing, because of experiences they’ve had or things that have been said to them. There are many reasons why this happens, but we have seen over and over again that with good guidance and the right environment, people can find their way into singing.
Our community choirs aim to create an environment where people aged 16+ can find support, skills and encouragement to learn to sing well. We don’t promise it will be effortless but we do promise to do everything we can to support our singers.
Our Choir Leaders are all music graduates, and are either professionals working in the choral and vocal fields, or have years of experience of singing in choirs.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
