Eden Gardens - A short stroll from Eden Terrace
It has been described as Auckland's best-kept garden secret. Located at 24 Omana Avenue, Epsom, Eden Garden boasts the largest and most varied collection of camellias in New Zealand. There are also a number of one-off projects, such as planting Tulip bulbs for the Tulip display (which takes place in the Spring - late August). After Tulip time, the perennial garden is planted for a wonderful vibrant summer display.
The five and a half acres take around half an hour or up to half a day, depending upon your schedule.
There is wheelchair access, parking for up to 40 vehicles, and dogs are allowed on a leash.
The cafe is open from 10 am - 3.00 pm Wednesday to Sunday, year-round and you can bring your own picnic.
