Help with errands
Hi,
I'd like to offer my time to any folk over 70 in our general area that need some help. I can drop off some groceries or post a letter etc.
I know you're now self isolating and for those who don't have many friends or family in the area that must feel very daunting.
If you know of any self isolating seniors who need a hand feel free to pass on my number or call on behalf. I have a full time job which I will be conducting at home but keen to do what else I can to lighten the burden.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
-
59.9% Yes, supporting people is important!
-
25.8% No, individuals should take responsibility
-
14.4% ... It is complicated
