A celebration of Maori & British culture, by Rebecca Barlow.

British Maypole dance ribbons depicted in Queen Elizabeth’s hair, also resembling the koru spiral shape.

Maori influences with the double twist earring and moko*. The earring represents the joining of two people/s, and two cultures for eternity.

This piece of artwork has a unifying theme of sovereignty and share the colours red, white and blue of the nation’s flags.

1918 – Lest We Forget: Marking 100 years since the end of WW1.

*This piece of art was used in collaboration with work from Maori & Tongan artists to create a one-off totem pole piece. It is available with or without the moko.
