Te Kowhai News July issue!
Please excuse the groan of your letterbox as Te Kowhai News July issue lands locally, weighing in at a hefty 28 pages, this is by far the biggest issue we've ever created.
Which is GREAT news!
When I took Te Kowhai News on in 2014 I was struggling to eek information out of the community. What a modest bunch we were! Now it seems the value of open and transparent communications is something valued and welcomed.
I love the fact that so many people are not contributing regularly to Te Kowhai News, giving up a little bit of their month to write a few words about their topic of choice, whether its their business, lifestyle, hobby or passion.
Please find in this post, Te Kowhai News July, featuring:
- Hearts to you Genevieve from Whatawhata Village Cafe! You're a local and national 'good sort'.
- Dame Malvina Major and the Old Girls and Boys luncheon.
_ Summerglow Apiaries opens its doors for fill-yer-boots-Fridays! Bring your own container and fill up with local yummy honey!
- Your water images
- The real story behind that weird power outage last month.
- Local dance classes for kids.
- And loads more!

Tamahere home in dentist case was once centre of accountant’s fraud
It’s been a feature in a recent Hamilton District Court trial , but a Tamahere mansion already has an complicated history.
The property in Woodcock Rd - notable for having a hydroslide in the back yard - the scene of now-disproved alleged sexual offending by Hamilton dentist Rahul Gautam - made headlines more than 15 years ago, when it was a focus in the case of accountant Gary Soffe.
