Swan Plants

Pam from Titirangi

It is Monarch Butterfly time again and they are out and laying now.
The MBNZT is recognising those garden centres which will not sell swan plants which have pesticide on them. These garden centres will use the ‘Butterfly Tick’ and their staff will also be able to give you extra advice on such things as

· other species of milkweed,
· annual and perennial nectar plants to bring butterflies (and bees),
· host plants to attract other species of butterfly and moth.

Click on the link to see the garden centres already registered… This initiative officially launches on 1 October.

Poll: Should you ask before planting tall shrubs/trees near your property line?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz
