Fans for these warm days and nights

Fiona from Henderson

As the days seem to be a wee bit warmer, if not stickier due to the humidity, there is a mad dash to anyone who is selling electric fans and so many stores are finding themselves caught short - strange but true for the summer period.

The obvious places to look would be: The Warehouse, Kmart, Bunnings, Mitre 10, Farmers but DON'T FORGET The Clearance Shed: theclearanceshed.co.nz...
I was there a couple of days ago for something else and they had boxes and boxes of them. This was the branch off Lincoln Road, on Moselle Ave (Behind The Warehouse).

I purchased a great wee one, a USB desk top or handheld one for $10 from The Gift Store in the Westcity mall: www.west-city.co.nz... - and it's better than the tall fans as this one produces colder air ... sheer bliss :)

Wills and Luxon are screwing the country to please the oil and gas industry.

Markus from Green Bay

Today the smart investment is in battery peaker plants in combination with solar and wind, or with any other renewable generation capacity during low demand times.
Gas is expensive and will get more so over time.

Let's not forget that Nicola Willis' dad is a big time oil and gas investor, lobbyist, and industry insider.

Maybe this should be posted in ‚Crime & Safety‘?

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
