Hello friendly neighbours in Whatawhata, i'm putting a shout out for people who will be around this Easter weekend and willing to help with some earth works.... sadly we are rather broke and wanted to know if anyone would be willing to donate their time or do it for a beer and a bbq??? please message me. we are trying to clear our drive way and cut down trees so if you have a shovel and a chainsaw that would be fantastic... Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
