Tell me more about the awards
If DIY and creative crafts make you dizzy with joy, you’re going to love the Resene Upcycling Awards.
Upcycling is the term used for taking a preloved item and transforming it - whether it’s for a new purpose altogether, or just to give it an ‘extreme makeover’. You could turn empty wine bottles into a coffee table, pallets into a home entertainment unit or repurpose an old baby cot as a desk for your little learners.
There are four prizes up for grabs worth $500 - a $300 Prezzy® card and a $200 Resene Gift card! (Plus spot prizes!)
There are two categories in this year's awards:
Repurposed Upcycled item - an item that you find an entirely new purpose for
Redecorated Upcycled item - an item you give a new lease of life to by unleashing your creativity!
Don't forget to:
Include before and after photos in your entry
Make sure you tell us about any Resene paints, colours and stains you've used
Other ideas:
Ask your Neighbourly neighbours for unwanted items for your project
Use the free stuff category to find things your neighbours no longer want or need
