Today at Yummy Sushi, Okara, Whangarei.

Thanks to the kind young man that paid for the lunch my granddaughter and I selected. We were surprised and delighted. Still smiling!
I wish you good karma and I will pay your kindness forward.
After the cashier told a surprised me that my card had declined I stood aside to check my bank balance online. Next the cashier called out that the man had paid for our selection. I rushed out to see him drive off in a blue station wagon.
Money in account - I had actually keyed in an incorrect PIN number.
Some weeks ago a lady in front of me at the supermarket checkout was trying to decide what to put back as she didn’t have enough money to cover her shop. I paid her $5 shortfall.
I believe in Karma and that what goes around comes around. This was mine.
I will continue to keep it going!

Hi neighbours - better lives for the Kaumātua [elderly] of Aotearoa is the focus of a $2.5 million wellbeing project.

Two different projects will run with the first hoping to bring generations together, and the second focusing on high health and social needs. These projects will mix physical exercise with Te Reo and the passing down of cultural knowledge.

What do you think should be a priority for Kaumātua? What do you think would be most beneficial for them?
