A programme to replace the lighting used to keep our community safe will see street lights changed from the current sodium yellow bulbs to white light-emitting diodes (LEDs).
In a trial run next month, lightbulbs in Onerahi and Whangarei Heads will be replaced with white LEDs.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
