New Water Treatment Plant opens at Whau Valley
The new, $30 million Whau Valley Water Treatment Plan is officially open and the dam is 100% FULL.
This fantastic new high-capacity asset takes rain water from the Whau Valley Dam and the Hātea River, and processes it to be safe to come out of the tap. As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
