Bright Lights in the City event

The Team from Whangarei District Council

From tomorrow night there will be nine lovely sites to visit on evening weekend walks to see beautiful light-displays in the Central city.

Follow the trail through the from Laurie Hall up to Cameron St Mall, back down to the Town Basin and then along the Hatea Loop. Can you spot all of the bursts of colour along the way?

The lights will be on display from 6:00pm - 10:00pm on Friday 10 - Sunday 12 December, and again from Friday 17 - Sunday 19 December.

LAURIE HALL PARK
Look at the fountain flowing and the pohutukawa tree on the hill.

CAMERON STREET MALL
The canopy has stars floating above and the reindeers flying by.

TOWN BASIN
Oh Christmas tree lit up and shining so bright, you can also stroll past and see our friends at the Marina with their decorated boats.

Town basin PLAYGROUND
Dancing in the tree - happy and bright.

MANGROVE WALKWAY
Walk along the path and you will come across vivid colours that pop and dance.

Kotuitui Whitinga BRIDGE
"Insta worthy" snaps - make sure you get lots of photos as you walk across the bridge.

TE MATAU Ā POHE BRIDGE
Our bascule bridge stands so proudly on the Hātea River.

RIVERSIDE DRIVE
As you head along Riverside you will notice the uplights on our kiwi Christmas trees.

CANOPY BRIDGE
As you head back to the City you will walk over the bridge, lit up colourful and bright.

Tel from Tikipunga

I thought he was better than that. This - www.stuff.co.nz... - is what he said.
He objects to Harris because she supports schemes such as health care and instead supports someone who thought drinking bleach was a cure for covid.

This one was sent in by your fellow neighbour, can you figure it out?

Riddler from The Neighbourly Riddler

What is first white then red and the plumper it gets the more the old lady likes it?
