Fixing the glare from line-markings on Kamo Road
We share your concerns and have been working with the contractor to fix the problem. In this video, Mayor Vince Cocurullo talks solutions with Downer Transport and Infrastructure Project Manager Kobus Potgieter and Chief Executive Simon Weston.
The usual water-blasting process could not remove the many layers of old paint, which is why it had to be covered, which created glare. The new process is much less "shiny" and adds fine grit to the road. It will be applied over the coming weeks as weather permits.

Our amazing Hillary Hikers from Edmund Hillary Village showed their support for Bowel Cancer New Zealand's Move Your Butt campaign this month!
Sporting the bright purple and orange campaign shirts, these wonderful walkers hit the Auckland waterfront and marched from Mission Bay to Kohimarama, raising awareness for bowel cancer and the importance of early detection along the way.
