New central bus hub on Rose Street upgrades - funding secured
Following the upgrade of the roading infrastructure we completed in June 2022, the next upgrade at the Rose Street bus hub will renew the existing bus hub buildings with new public toilets, staff facilities, a ticketing office and a covered waiting area with seating. A new pedestrian link to Vine Street will provide a safer and more user-friendly walking connection into the city centre.
Work is expected to take place March 2024 - September 2024, funded from the Transport Choices Package from Waka Kotahi.
