Water shut-down in Te Kamo, 11pm until midnight Monday 5 May 2025

The Team from Whangarei District Council

💧 We are conducting another trial shut-down of outlet pipes from the Dip Road reservoir on Monday 5 May 2025 from 11:00 PM until Midnight. This will affect water supply for all of Te Kamo.

The work is in preparation for a major upgrade later this year with the commissioning of a new reservoir on Dip Road.

During the trial, Te Kamo will receive water from the Waitaua Road reservoir. Due to its lower elevation, some residents may notice lower water pressure than usual. Additionally, it’s possible that there may be air in the pipes following the trial. But we've serviced all air valves within the zone to ensure any issues resolve quickly.

👉 What this means for you:
• You might experience lower water pressure during and immediately after the shut-down that night.
• If you notice any air in your water, please allow your taps to run for a short period to clear this out.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to improve our water services. For any concerns or queries, feel free to contact our 24-hour customer service centre on 09-430-4200.
Thank you for your patience!
