Dog registrations are due this month
đ¶
Our dog-control service is 90% funded by registration fees, and helps keep all dogs in the District safe. Unfortunately the service has not been able to keep up with all the issues reported recently, and weâve had to increase fees this year to cover costs.
About half of all dog owners have renewed their registrations for the year - ka pai! We encourage all dog owners to register now, avoid penalties and do their bit for local dog control. Late payments after 31 July 2021 are more expensive but still required, so it makes sense to register as soon as you can.

Scam Alert: Bank cold calls
ASB is warning customers about reports of cold calls from scammers claiming to be from ASB. These scammers are trying to obtain personal information, including usernames, dates of birth, and verification codes sent to your mobile phone.
đĄïž The "Caller Check" Test
If you get a call from someone claiming to be from ASB and youâre unsure, just ask them for a Caller Check. You will then be able to verify the call through the app.
Remember, banks will:ââ
â Never ask for your banking passwords, PINs, or verification codesââ
â Never need to know your full credit card number â especially the CVC
â Never ask you to download software or remotely access your deviceââ
â Never ask you to purchase gift cards or transfer funds.
If you have received a phone call and think your account has been compromised, call ASB on 0800 ASB FRAUD (0800 272 372), or visit your local branch.
