Do we need better animal welfare rules in Aotearoa?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

CDANZ estimates that around 250,000 dogs are chained up for their entire lives in Aotearoa. Animal welfare inspectors from the SPCA can do little for them and only in the most extreme cases can dogs be seized, and owners prosecuted, due to the resources involved. Do we need to have better welfare … View moreCDANZ estimates that around 250,000 dogs are chained up for their entire lives in Aotearoa. For Thursday, the 20th April at 6pm we are screening the UK documentary, Lancaster

Our 8pm screening will be the Norwegian comedy, Everyone Hates Johan.

LANCASTER
UK, 2022, Documentary, 105 mins

The story of the iconic WW2 bomber told through the words of the last surviving crew members, re-mastered archive material and extraordinary aerial footage of the RAF’s last airworthy Lancaster.

Responsible for some of the most famous and infamous missions in WW2 history, from the Dambuster raids to the controversial bombing of Dresden, the Lancaster would help turn the tide of war.

But there was a price to be paid. Over 55,000 young men – half of all Bomber Command’s aircrew – died over Nazi-occupied Europe. Their average age was 22.

View the trailer at: www.youtube.com...

They were there to plant violas in the garden bed, It used to be done safely by 2 girls from the council with one ute and if it wasn't so money wasting it would have been comical, Mayor Vince Cocurullo you need to tell your CEO to pull his head in. 2 girls and 1 ute used to do this job. The ute from Auckland City Council was here to direct traffic. Pull the soil out and fill with concrete and save the ratepayers some money please. Not a happy ratepayer. City safe you are a joke.
