Tourism businesses selling 'buy now travel later' vouchers
West Coast tourist operators are offering Kiwis cheap bookings as they try to stay afloat during the coronavirus pandemic.
Just as cafés were asking customers to buy vouchers ahead for when they opened, some tourism businesses are as well, and offering discounts to those who do.
It is still unclear whether inter-regional non-essential travel will be allowed under level 2 and Consumer NZ is warning people buying vouchers that if the company does not survive the economic crisis people could lose their money. Continue reading here.
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
