Club President Judith Gray says that, as community leaders, the Board felt this to be the correct course of action to take in order to look after people and help slow the spread of Covid-19 through the community. Unfortunately, this has also meant postponing the club’s upcoming 50th Anniversary celebrations.
“However, if Rotarians can be of assistance to members of the Tawa Community during this time we will do what we can to help while also maintaining adherence to Government guidelines. Look after yourselves and your families and look out for your neighbours. To quote the Prime Minister, we will get through this.”

We fed that back to the Porirua City Council and it is now a reality, at the north (Dimock Street) end of Onepoto Park. Some of you have discovered it and it has been getting regular use.
