Ann-Droid implements the story of Pinocchio in the 21st century. In this story Pinocchio is a little robot girl called Ann who feels at home in the virtual world by using the digital devices children use today.

Her goal is to turn into a real human; therefore, she needs to learn the most important virtues: bravery, loyalty, honesty and joy of useful activities. Originating from Hungary, this high-quality international performance combines theatre with the newest digital technologies: projection, a smart LED costume, a robot ball and a drone!

Kia ora koutou,

Strathmore Park Community Centre Trust would like to take a moment to say a big THANK YOU to all of the fabulous people who kindly donate their valuable time and goods to our community.

All the clothes, gifts and food donated find homes that appreciate your generosity. We love sharing your kindness with others!

To our ever long list of amazing people who volunteer in many ways! Keeping our centres tidy, helping with food pickups and deliveries, cooking, baking, dropping people home… the list goes on!

All of your support and kindness makes a huge difference to peoples’ lives.

Community spirit is strong here in Strathmore!

Updates to our regular programmes and services:
-Hula Fix – Unfortunately there is no class this week. The lovely Linda will be back next week to get your bodies moving again;
-Vinnies Social Worker – Kim is here this Thursday 20th, 9.30am – 1.30pm;
-Citizens Advice Bureau – Are stationed at Raukawa Wednesday 19th, 10.00-11.00am.

There is a great buzz of conversation going on at our Friday morning group thanks to the 'Life Skills' group. Merrie, Jocelyn and the rest of the volunteer crew are working towards gift making ideas for Christmas. It's also really exciting to have Catherine Lloyd join us to share her knowledge of embroidery and patch work.

Keep an eye and an ear out for our new Term activities! Buzz words are; cushion covers, angels, community friendship blanket/quilt/patchwork...
Have a great week everyone!
