Thank You Project Village!

Lorna Harvey from Age Concern Wellington Region

We’re working hard everyday to reach seniors across the Wellington Region. We couldn’t do this without the help of many generous and kind people and organisations. One of these organisations is Project Village (Lagi Finau), who made up some amazing gift packs for lonely and isolated seniors in time for Christmas.

So, on the last working day in December, our CEO Stephen Opie and Social Connection Coordinator Kirsten Blyde spent the day delivering the gift packs all over town. “It was great to spread a little Christmas cheer a couple of days before Christmas. Some even said that this was probably the only gift they would receive,” Stephen said.

Thank you Project Village for caring for our Region’s seniors!

Poll: Are you still heading to your local for your caffeine fix, or has the $$ changed your habits? ☕

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Wellington’s identity is built on its cafe culture, but with costs climbing, that culture is under pressure. We’ve seen the headlines about recent closures, and it’s a tough pill to swallow along with a $6+ coffee.

We all want our favourite spots to stay open, but we also have to balance our own budgets ⚖️

We want to know: How are you handling the "coffee math" in 2026? Are you still heading to your local for a chat and a caffeine fix, or has the cost of living changed your habits?

Keen to read more about "coffee math"? The Post has you covered.
