Almost a quarter of young people say the older generations should help first-home buyers into the property market, a new survey shows.

Westpac NZ polled 1000 people about their opinion on parents assisting their children into their first homes.

It found widespread acceptance of the idea: More than half the parents said they would loan money interest-free and only 38 per cent would expect it to be paid back.

KEEPING WARM

John from Wadestown

To my surprise I found that my dear beloved late wife had bought a spare king size electric blanket "just in case". It's brand new, still in its plastic suitecase.
Make me a reasonable offer and you too/two could keep warm

Further to our Friday update, we wanted to inform you on what caused the contamination in the inner Wellington Harbour.
A fat blockage in the pipes along Brandon St was sending wastewater into the stormwater line via a constructed overflow. This was located and cleared on June 12.
Investigations also found wastewater joints that had come apart under Queens Wharf, which were attended to by June 15.

If washed down the sink, fats and oils can build up in our pipes causing blockages. It’s best to wait for fats and oils to cool then wipe them into the bin.

Then you are looking for Everyone Out!!!!!

Enrol your child at enrolmy.com...

Everyone Out was created by a local mum (that's me!) who wanted to see more children enjoying a free play nature based programme each holidays. We don't take you kids on expensive trips or make them do pointless crafts, we let them take the lead and decide how they wish to spend their holidays.
