If you're old enough to remember M*A*S*H (which I'm not, really!), you might recognise Alan Alda. "Hawkeye Pierce" has since re-invented himself as an expert on communication rooted in improvisational theatre techniques.

Qualified Electrician Needed for signing off (Tagging) music gear

Michael from Berhampore

OSH strikes again with their rules and regulations. Need a local electrician I could take (or he can come around if he likes) several amps, mixers too get tested and tagged. Purely routine. Any recommendations of someone local? (who wont insist on charging a $150 call out fee for instance). Any … View moreOSH strikes again with their rules and regulations. This is just so I can use the gear at one venue so far but I'm guessing it will just get worse!

Almost a quarter of young people say the older generations should help first-home buyers into the property market, a new survey shows.

Westpac NZ polled 1000 people about their opinion on parents assisting their children into their first homes.

It found widespread acceptance of the idea: More than half the parents said they would loan money interest-free and only 38 per cent would expect it to be paid back.

You are invited to the Commemorative Birthday Mass for Suzanne Aubert at 6:00pm on Wednesday 19 June 2019.

The annual Mass will be celebrated by Cardinal John Dew at St Anne's Church, 22 Emmett Street, Newtown, Wellington.

We will be taking up a collection of food items for the Soup Kitchen Wellington during the Mass. Donations of canned vegetables, fruit, soup, coconut milk, and fish, as well as dried goods such as coffee (fresh and instant), lentils, split peas, and pearl barley, would be much appreciated.

The Sisters of Compassion and the Catholic Parish of Wellington South are hosting the Mass which will be followed by refreshments in St Anne's Hall.

This year marks the 184th anniversary of Suzanne Aubert’s birth. Suzanne was born near Lyon in France and her response to the Gospel brought her to Aotearoa New Zealand in 1860. She devoted her life to supporting the Māori people, and to helping the suffering and those most in need. Suzanne is New Zealand’s first Saint in the making and was declared Venerable in 2016.
