From Sunday 26 January 2020, Metlink will have some refreshed bus timetables.
Metlink’s Wellington network will be under pressure at this time of year, therefore you might not get your first choice of bus during morning peak. Know before you go. Ensure you are prepared with a back-up plan if you need to be somewhere urgently.

You deserve a reliable bus network and we’re working hard to make that happen. We are refreshing some timetables based on passenger boarding data to lay a solid foundation to build on, match available driver and bus resources due to the ongoing national driver shortage and work to improve reliability. Check what’s happening in your area by visiting www.metlink.org.nz...

We apologise if you’re affected by any disruption to your service. Stay up-to-date by subscribing to My Metlink, download the Metlink app or call the team on 0800 801 700. You can also follow us on Facebook and Twitter.

The alternative operation means trucks on 24 hour rotation collect the wastewater treatment byproduct at the Moa Point Treatment Plant, taking it to the landfill at Carey’s Gully.

The operation was today refined by reducing the amount of trucks on the road and splitting them into two shifts of 6-7 trucks each. These trucks are continuing to keep up with demand, and are operating efficiently.

The fault in the pipeline was located yesterday, and we are continuing to plan a repair with a temporary bypass, as well as a long term fix. The location appears to be about 200m inside the tunnel under Mt Albert.

We are working with the local community at Moa Point, and are holding a community meeting on Sunday to update them on the project and address any concerns residents may have.

We will provide further update on Monday 27 January.
