Althea - Available for adoption

Kirihika from Island Bay

Available for adoption, Althea šŸ–¤
- Female
- 2-3 years

Here’s what her fosterers say about her:
ā€œAlthea came to us as emaciated stray roaming Miramar, we had tried to find her owners but no one claimed this sweet girl, after a few weeks of some gentle love and lots of yummy food she perked right up!

Althea is a big girl who loves to play but can be rough so needs someone who will take the time to train her to be gentle. She’s not much of a lap cat but will definitely come and sit beside you as you work or are watching the telly.

Althea would best be suited to a home with no young children (teenagers ok), no other pets and an indoor/outdoor homeā€

Althea is desexed, has her first vaccination and is microchipped, her adoption fee is $250.

Please email us at poonekengerurescue@gmail.com or to view our other cats available for adoption, check out our Facebook page.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
