Playing with poi is a lot of fun! Spin Poi can be done sitting or standing and is suitable for almost everyone. Inspired by traditional poi, it has been adapted to be a safe and effective exercise, especially for older populations. On top of the usual benefits of exercise, typically people will see improvements in grip strength, attention, focus, balance and coordination.

o Welcome, safety reminders & warm up
o Practice poi movements
o Playtime! 20-25 minutes of poi to music
o Cool down
Ask me more about any of the classes!

We are replacing our current office desks - quite a few (around 30?) They are a decent quality but configured to be used in pods or groups eg 4 desks together, 6 desks together, 12 desks together. They are available for free providing you pick them up (dismantle?) by the end of April. They must go as groups - they don't work as single desks apart from one pair that go side by side. If anyone is interested in taking blocks of them you are welcome if you take the whole lot. They have cable trays and are white. No photo yet sorry! They are all around 140cm to 160c depending on how we grouped them. Not adjustable, standard height.

This is because watering restrictions have now been eased for Metropolitan Wellington and South Wairarapa 👏
“Community action in limiting water use, paired with the hot summer peak use period coming to an end, means we are confident about removing watering restrictions across the region” says Laurence Edwards, Chief Advisor Drinking Water.
Please continue to be mindful of water use as the rivers, lakes and aquifers recover. 💧
Please remember that alternate day, odds-evens watering still applies in Upper Hutt, and South Wairarapa as it does all year round.

Barring any last-minute changes of heart, a Wellington City Council committee will agree to the policy, meaning all existing pokie machine venues can keep operating, but no new permits will be issued and, over time, this will theoretically lead to fewer gambling machines.
The "sinking lid policy" is being driven by Cr Tabatha Paul.
If the eventual drop-off in pokie machines led to community groups getting less funding, Paul said it would be time for the central government to step in.
