The Northern Chorale
is an adult choir of about 40 members formed in 1983, based in Khandallah. We sing a wide variety of classical choral music, from Renaissance motets to Blues, masses to madrigals, romantic works, folk songs and new New Zealand works. Members are not required to audition but some music reading experience is useful but not essential. We perform our own concerts, sometimes with other groups and local orchestras. We also sing in Old Folks' Homes. Most of our performances are in the Northern suburbs.
We practise in the Khandallah Presbyterian Church Hall on Monday nights from 7.30 - 9.30 pm. Do come along and try us out! We need more singers, especially men!
If you want to know anything more ring Monika Smith (Choir Mistress) on 479 1033 or Mary Munro (Co-Chair) on 4793 363.
