Peter is helping us out with something that nearly everyone can relate to – dealing with the unsorted photos taking up space on your phone or languishing in boxes in your home.

“Without fail, when I give a talk about getting organised, I’m always asked how to deal with photos,” says Peter.

Boxes of unsorted photos can feel overwhelming to organise so they often get left for many years to clutter up our houses. In addition to this, most of us have smartphones that make it easy to take photos anywhere, so pretty soon our digital photo life becomes cluttered too.

The Annual Mission Fair for the Sisters of St Peter Claver is being held on Saturday 24 February from 10am to 1pm in the convent grounds at 1 Mersey Street, Island Bay.
Each year the Sisters fundraise for a specific cause and in 2024 it is:
1. TANZANIA: Renovation of the bore hole and installation of clean water tanks. The direct beneficiaries are 200 people including patients, students, the orphanage, workers and missionaries living in the Mgongo Centre and the neighbouring communities.
2. INDIA: To purchase 500 blankets to be distributed to 250 families who were affected by ethnic conflict in Manipur. When this happened many lives were lost, thousands of houses torched, churches burnt and over 50,000 families were displaced.
3. INDIA: To help poor families with a sustainable source of income through sheep farming.
I hope you will be able to support the work of the sisters by coming along to the Fair.
Thank you all in advance.
A special message from the Sisters of St Peter Claver:
“We the Sisters of St. Peter Claver, wish to invite anyone around the area or who are able to join us to come on down, please help us support these three projects from different parts of the world, we thank you in advance and we pray for you and for your intentions.”

They seem to focus predominantly on cycle-lanes, speed bumps, raised pedestrian crossings instead of focusing on the water leaks and other water related issues. They claim they are going to put up our rates between 12-15% and then on top of that give us water meters for their incompetence of running the council. I see we will be getting a new charge on our rates invoice for Moa Point. Why should we pay this as they are wasting money on secret deals that we can only imagine how many more they have made that haven't been leaked. The council have become a dictatorship as they put out surveys for community feedback and then toss it in the bin if it doesn't align with their ideology. They've have already made up their minds and are going through the motions. How can we have a mayor that does not engage, takes no responsibility but has time to mention full steam ahead on cycleways. This needs a reset. We need a mayor like Wayne Brown for Wellington.
