Sunday 1 June β No Working Bee (Kingβs Birthday Weekend β public holiday)
Sunday 29 June β Bird Survey Special!
This Working Bee falls during the NZ Garden Bird Survey. Youβll have the chance to contribute by spending an hour observing and recording birds across Manawa Karioi. A great way to support bird conservation in Aotearoa β weβll provide instructions and recording sheets.
π§ Rain or shine β weβll be out there planting, maintaining tracks, and enjoying the ngahere.
π§€ Tools, gloves, and good vibes provided β just bring yourself (and a friend!).

The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if itβs approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.
