Selection for ‘Good in the Hood’ project for 2018 at Z Tawa

Richard Herbert from Friends of Tawa Bush Reserves Inc.

‘Friends of Tawa Bush Reserves’ has been selected as one of the recipients for this project sponsored by Z Tawa. The allocation of funds to FOTBR and other selected organisations will be determined by voting at the Z Tawa Station from 1 to 31 May 2018.

The amount of public votes received will determine the proportion of the $4000 our group will receive. So please Pop on down to Z Tawa during May 2018 to vote for us!

But there's more - On Thursday 17th of May, Z-Energy is offering a 6c per litre saving for customers and also another 6c per litre will be donated by Z-Energy to be shared among the Good in the Hood selected organisations.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
