Alzheimers Whanganui Update

As from 11.59pm on Wednesday 25th March 2020 New Zealand will move to a Covid 19 Level 4 alert. This means our staff will put in place alternative working arrangements and will be working from home. Our office will be closed from 3.00pm Tuesday 24th March 2020. Our staff will be in contact with you all regularly and will be available should you have any concerns or questions or need assistance. You can ring staff on 06) 345 8833 where you will hear a message with a phone number to contact the Manager or you can email: admin@alzheimerswhanganui.org.nz or manager@alzheimerswhanganui.org.nz. Phone lines are sketchy at present however we ask that you keep trying. This ALERT is in place for a period of 4 weeks when it will be reviewed.

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?

With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.

This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
