Covid 19
With the safety of our staff, members, family/whanau, visitors and the wider community in mind, Alzheimers Whanganui has cancelled all our Group outings and gatherings for the next three weeks. We have not made this decision lightly and realise this may adversely impact our carers and clients. We will be in regular contact with all of our members and ask the community to make contact with any elderly in your neighbourhood to ensure they are safe. Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
