Silver Festival event listings available now
We're promoting 47 community events for this year's Silver Festival! The Silver Festival is a 5-day series of events to celebrate older adults and acknowledge their important role and contribution to Whangārei.
Activities include Scottish Country Dancing, storytelling, museum visits, social bowling, educational workshops, laughing yoga, gallery exhibitions and more.

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
