Do your LTP submission at the Family Fun Day on Saturday
Grab the family, some sun block and a hat, and come have a chat about what we’ve got planned for Whangārei over the next 10 years.
Our Family Fun Day will have loads of fun activities for the kids including bouncy castles, mini cars, circus activities and more! We’ll have free coffees and sausages on the BBQ, and some awesome prizes up for grabs.
We’ll also be there to chat about our next Long Term Plan, which sets out Council's activities and priorities for the next ten years, and how we will pay for them. You’ll also be able to have your say on big issues, like climate change, our city centre, rates and future events and conference centre options for Whangārei.

What's your favourite tomato recipe?
Kia ora neighbours. We know your tomato plants are still growing, but we're looking ahead to the harvest already! If you've got a family recipe for tomatoes, we'd love to see it and maybe publish it in our magazine to share with our readers. Send your recipe to mailbox@nzgardener.co.nz, and if we use it in the mag, you will receive a free copy of our February 2025 issue.
