SeniorNet Kapiti Open Days Tomorrow and Saturday

The Team from SeniorNet Kapiti Inc

Do you (or a friend, neighbour or family member) sometimes struggle to cope with your laptop, PC, smart phone or tablet? Are you still nervous about signing up for Internet Banking or any of the many other services that we are now encouraged (required?) to access electronically?
Maybe you've never done much computing and need to start with the basics? Or are you a regular user and just want to learn how to get the most out of your device or stay up-to-date with new developments?
We deal with these issues all the time at SeniorNet and our friendly tutors are always willing to go the extra mile to help. With a comprehensive programme of courses, workshops and help sessions coming up in Term 1 2026, now is a good time to get started!

If you or someone you know could do with some IT help, please visit our display at Coastlands tomorrow. Your will find us at the mall entrance to Westpac (10.00 - 4.00 pm).
Alternatively, come along to our Learning Centre at 200 Matai Road, Raumati Beach, on Saturday (10.00 - 2.00 pm) and talk to one of our tutors about how SeniorNet can help.
We would love to see you. You can find more information at kapiti.seniornet.nz or email us at: kapiti@seniornet.nz

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?

ACCOMMODATION REQUIRED

Gary from Waikanae

Our grandson (20) recently moved to Kapiti from Taranaki and is looking for accommodation. Anything considered.
He describes himself as clean and tidy, friendly but a bit reserved and quiet.
I would add trustworthy and family orientated.
