NIGHT LIGHTS GARDEN WALK
TONIGHT (Sat 12th)!!
NIGHT LIGHTS GARDEN WALK -
Meadowcroft Garden, 722 Otaki Gorge Rd
After a great turn out last night, Neil and Avis MacInnes are again opening their special garden again TONIGHT.
Discreet lighting brings the garden alive after dark and provides an opportunity to see another side of this unique garden - and to also raise funds for the Te Horo Hall renovations. The garden is usually only opened at night to friends and family, so this is a special second chance.
Meadowcroft garden will open to all from 7pm – last entry 9.30pm. $15pp and $5 for children under 12 years.
(Cash only please)
Off road parking will be available.
Please note:
Due to water features and reduced lighting the garden is not suitable for young children, and no pets are allowed. Special care is required as there are steps, sloping pathways and ponds. Every effort has been made by the owners to ensure the garden and car parks safety. Both are entered at visitors own risk.
THANKYOU NEIL & AVIS - and the Mansell family for providing parking in their paddock! 🤩🤩

Poll: Would you participate in local initiatives aimed at stopping plastic from reaching our oceans?
Volunteers will be scouring the foreshore, riverbanks, and islands for rubbish on Saturday the 13th as part of the Clean Up the Hutt event.
This initiative helps stop plastic from reaching our oceans and makes our waterways cleaner and safer for everyone.
We want to know: Should this be rolled out across all coastal cities in Aotearoa? And more importantly… would you get involved? 💚

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
