Ranch Slider help

Jareth from Waikanae Beach

Hey neighbors, our ranch slider has slowly been wearing down. It's an old one and I suspect the rollers have given up. Does anyone know of a quality company who can repair these? Thanks

It was friendly and was keen to befriend me. I was shocked to see that it was so painfully thin. I tried to find someone nearby to see if they knew who the owner might be, but couldn't find anyone home. I photographed the poor cat and called SPCA and sent them a photo. I'm not sure if they will be ble to locate it because it is wandering from house to house. This was in Leanne Way, off Kennedy Drive in Waikanae Beach. Please look out for this cat and help it if you can.

They now also breed outside of Zealandia, and are seen throughout the city. These clever parrots are such entertainers, and are a photographers dream.?

Free Firewood

Mark and Nicola from Waikanae Beach

We had a couple of banksia trees taken down behind our fence just over a year ago and the resulting firewood is free to anyone who wants to come and take it away. All cut into rings but needs splitting. It will involve a bit of handballing / barrowing around the house to get it to a vehicle.

Wait Times For Library Books

Currently I have a number of reserves, which, based on a three week loan period per reservation, range from 33 weeks (8 months) to over 10 years (for Burnam Wood). It really isn't practical to organize ones reading material even 8 months in advance, which leads me to conclude that people are missing out on access to library resources. The wait times are simply prohibitive.
This is concerning. Access to public facilities such as libraries and swimming pools is a mark of an equitable society. It's also irksome when one sees how willing KCDC is to spend money on pie in the sky projects like The Gateway and they cant find any additional funding for library books. Surely a few extra hundred for the most popular titles would not be that difficult to find. In the current high cost of living climate, reading a good book is a worthwhile activity. It doesn't use any power and it wont eat anything.
