DO LADIES PLAY SPORT?
A rugby sevens coach referred to the NZ women sevens team players as "ladies".
The equivallent with men playing rugby or football or hockey or basketball or league or boxing etc is "gentlemen".
Now who does indeed refer men as gentlemen especially in rough and tumble sport. No one should really. So its either girls, gals or women as a direct contrast with terms: boys, guys and men. But please not ladies and gentlemen which to me is under-rating a gutsy female or male player.
