Are our driving tests too strict?
Recently, a Hamilton teen failed his driving test because his fuel light came on halfway through the test. While VTNZ admitted it was a mistake to fail him, the story on Stuff prompted others to come forward with their stories on what they were failed for. We wanted to ask you whether you thought our driving tests were too strict? Why or why not? Do you know someone failed for a seemingly small reason? Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
