Lost cockatiel?

Lynne from Elderslea

Has anyone lost a pet cockatiel as there is one which has been around in my yard and surrounding properties for the last few days. Having owned a cockatiel many years ago its presence was brought to my attention as I recognised the distinctive sound.

This is to allow for work continuing either side of the Drive, meaning it’s not yet safe for public access.

Health and safety is our number one concern so until work moves away from this area it will have to remain closed on weekdays. You can still access the area on weekends.

We’ll keep you updated through social media, and will announce the weekday reopening of Tunnel Drive on our website.

It’s Breast Cancer Awareness month – and Hutt Valley DHB wants your help to save lives.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer affecting New Zealand women. Regular mammograms can find breast cancer early, leading to effective treatment before it spreads. Yet many women put breast screening off.

By encouraging someone you love to make a breast screening appointment, you can play your part. We’re fortunate to have a clinic right next to Hutt Hospital, offering free mammograms every two years to women aged 45-69.

Phone BreastScreen Aotearoa on 0800 270 200 or visit www.timetoscreen.nz for more information about breast screening.
