School of Self-Defence kicking off 7 July
Hi everyone,
We're finally able to kick off the community self-defence school now we're out of lockdown. We'll kick off informally on Tues 7 July during the school holidays here in Pinehaven.
Ages 12 and up, all stages and levels of fitness, confidence, experience welcome! The club focuses on self-defence using a Wing Chun base (Chinese boxing) and incorporating elements of Kickboxing and Filipino short sticks. A warm, challenging, but encouraging environment where the aim is not to teach people how to fight but rather teach people how not to need to fight. Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
