School of Self-Defence kicking off 7 July
Hi everyone,
We're finally able to kick off the community self-defence school now we're out of lockdown. We'll kick off informally on Tues 7 July during the school holidays here in Pinehaven.
Ages 12 and up, all stages and levels of fitness, confidence, experience welcome! The club focuses on self-defence using a Wing Chun base (Chinese boxing) and incorporating elements of Kickboxing and Filipino short sticks. A warm, challenging, but encouraging environment where the aim is not to teach people how to fight but rather teach people how not to need to fight. Poll: Would you participate in local initiatives aimed at stopping plastic from reaching our oceans?
Volunteers will be scouring the foreshore, riverbanks, and islands for rubbish on Saturday the 13th as part of the Clean Up the Hutt event.
This initiative helps stop plastic from reaching our oceans and makes our waterways cleaner and safer for everyone.
