WELLINGTON SPORT GETTING RECOGNITION

Michael from Trentham

At long last the Hurricanes are getting newspaper space inside the period of the current Pacific competition in which they are the unbeaten leader after 7 rounds and playing with vigour and guile.

Not only that but .catching in up with this writer, a host of Hurricane players are mentioned as potential ABs for later this year.

And then we have the Hurricanes co-training team, the Phoenix (men) at the top of the Australian football league and assured of a home finals series match in a few weeks already still with 2 round robin matches to play.

That the Hurricanes and Phoenix have their training facilities at the world class Sports Institute in Heretaunga is a major reason why they are performing so well.

But it does not stop there. It is quite feasible that the Pulse netball team will win the national title this year as also goes for the Saints basketball team in the NBL.

And the Wellington provincial men's rugby team which narrowly lost the Ranfurly Shield and NPC title last year, will be favourites to recapture their ultimate winning form.

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.

When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
