Public Basketball Court In Trentham
Taking shape right now is the Hutt Valley's first public half court basketball court.
It's being installed on Grant's Bush Reserve in Wallaceville Estate and only metres away from a host of residential houses.
I have mixed feelings in regard to this amenity designed in particular for 10-20 year olds to enjoy.
Some of these amenities get dismantled overseas and I believe one was shut down in Auckland.
Outdoor public half court basketball courts can promote high noise levels, unruly behaviour and a place for influencing anti social actions.
The Upper Hutt City Council had received submissions etc opposing the court and/or where it is located.
2025: The Year of Puzzling It Out!
There’s a one-story house where everything is yellow.
The walls are yellow, the doors are yellow, and even the furniture is yellow.
