Community Grants open now
Local and regional not-for-profit groups that service Upper Hutt residents are invited to apply for funding support through Council’s Community Grants fund.
Priority funding areas are:
• Indirect programme costs or running costs for organisations invloved in support work.
• Projects which enhance existing community support programmes where additional resources are required.
• Community driven intiatives for events or programmes which promote a sense of community or contribute to community well being.
Application forms will be available at Council’s Civic building,
H2O Xtream, Upper Hutt City Library, Expressions and online.

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
