Draft Annual Plan 2020 - 2021
Upper Hutt City Council is committed to making sure we’re in the best position to support our community through the COVID-19 crisis and beyond.
With the current situation in mind, we have reassessed our budgets and plans for the coming year.
Our draft Annual Plan for 2020 – 2021 is focusing on continuing to deliver essential infrastructure and services, while supporting our community and economy to recover from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
