These salad servers would be a wonderful addition to a vintage dining setting.

The 2024 Bunnings NPC regular season ended yesterday (Sunday) with Wellington at the head of the table. But neither TV One news last night nor Mike Hoskings breakfast show this morning on Newstalk ZB made mention of it. Interestingly, the same Auckland sports presenter was on both shows.

The 2024 NPC has produced a lot of good rugby with every team in with a winning chance game by game. A high number of players signalled that they were potentially up to All Blacks/international standard including Wellington second five-centre-wing, Riley Higgins and half back Kyle Preston.

Wellington also finished top of the table in 2023 and was runner-up the year previous.

Interestingly in the Wellington-Hawkes Bay match last Saturday there were at least 8 players formerly from St Pat's Silverstream among the teams.

I hope that this year Wellington will progress to win the championship title in releasing all the skill, ability and consistency they have possessed for three years..

Reducing stigma starts with the words we use, and shifting the way we talk about dementia is a powerful step forward. This World Alzheimer’s Month, Ryman is highlighting the importance of reducing the discrimination caused by stigma surrounding people living with dementia.

Caroline Bartle, Ryman’s Dementia Care and Innovations Lead, says that using appropriate language when referring to people with Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia can foster a more inclusive society. Who else besides me has gotten annoyed well before now with TVOne weather presenter, Daniel Corbett constant use of the term: SAME THING AGAIN.

Dan uses this term at least two-three times on any evening he is doing the weather presentation. A year ago and it wasn't in his vocabulary.

Ok, NZ is not a huge country and therefore the weather region by region, city by city can be pretty similar. But to use the same terminology when there is either no need to or many alternatives, rankles me anyway.

His weather colleagues have never used this Corbett habitual three worded expression.

Another thing Dan does with so much more repetitiveness of late is the frimmp, woosh, voomb sounds of noise he makes to describe rain, wind, impending climatic conditions or whatever.

Come on Dan. You weren't doing or saying these things in the UK.
