Festival team flying high over Air New Zealand sponsorship
An unexpected boost from the country’s national airline in the form of a big flights, sponsorship and marketing deal has given a boost to the crew behind the Hamilton Arts Festival.
While neither Air New Zealand nor the arts festival team are saying what the arrangement is worth, the annual event held - mostly - at the Hamilton Gardens each February and March is set to be one of the initial beneficiaries of a new Regional Event Sponsorship programme.

‘Simply irresponsible’: Wallaby likely kept as pet in Hamilton, regional council says
A wallaby spotted in Hamilton was probably kept as a pet, the regional council says - and that’s “simply irresponsible”.
The dama wallaby, which had an immature joey in its pouch, was spotted in Frankton on March 3, reported and killed, Waikato Regional Council says.
