I am thinking about putting together a FB page to help find accommodation for families in Gisborne or other areas. I will need the support of everyone who is able to offer maybe a bed or two, even very short term. I have spoken with the Regional councils about this and am expecting to hear back in the next day or two, but I will need help from all of you wonderful neighborhood people! once the page goes live I will repost it. just think this could be any of us in the same situation. thanks

The butcher with a taste for adventure

‘Devastated and disappointed’ - former students hope it wasn’t one of their own
Former students of Taupō Nui-a-Tia College say they’re “devastated” and “disappointed” after the alleged arson at their school which has left an entire block of classrooms, and a health centre destroyed by fire.
Emergency services were called to the school about 2.15pm on Sunday, when plumes of black smoke could be seen across town.
